According to the examiner guidance: The purpose of all driver-training is to assess and develop the learner’s skill, knowledge and understanding in relation to the contents of the National Standards for Driver and Rider Training. Research indicates that this is best achieved by placing the client at the centre of the learning process.
So they want to see you deliver an inclusive lesson that meets the goals and needs of your learner. Don’t forget though that the DVSA see us as the driver training professionals, so although they want client centred approaches, they do not want client led sessions where you allow things to become safety critical. ~The test is all about whether your instruction is safe and that you enable the learner to learn how to be safe. The ADI exam has always and will always be about safety.
